Matthias is a German qualified lawyer and In-House Counsel at SDC. He brings more than 25 years of experience in legal practice advising on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, inbound and outbound investments, corporate finance and real estate transactions as well as data center developments. Prior to starting with SDC, Matthias was a Partner and head of the German M&A practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He began his career as an Associate at Hengeler Mueller in Frankfurt am Main where he worked on various corporate and capital markets transactions.
Matthias holds a Dr. jur. from the University of Munich and is a member of the Frankfurt am Main Bar. He has published on a number of corporate law and capital markets related topics.
