Matt Washko is as a Director, Data Center Delivery & Operation at SDC. Matt brings nearly 20 years of leadership, engineering, and program management experience from the U.S. Navy. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy he served as a submarine officer aboard USS Boise (SSN 764), completing multiple operational deployments. Over the course of a 20-year Navy career, Matt served in engineering, program management, and leadership roles in construction, testing, delivery, overhaul, and modernization of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers. In his final Navy assignment, he served as Program Manager for Virginia Class Submarine construction at Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News. Prior to that, he served as Chief Engineer aboard USS John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), the largest warship ever built, leading engineering testing and integration, and preparing the ship and crew for delivery to the fleet.
Matt holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and degree of Naval Engineer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
