Julian King is a Senior Vice President, Data Centers at SDC. Julian is responsible for the strategic direction and expansion of SDC’s activities in Europe. Prior to joining SDC, Julian was appointed in 2002 as Group Commercial Director of Global Switch with responsibility for all leasing in Europe and Asia. Subsequently he was involved in several projects in Europe and Asia including Volta Data Centres with its facility in the City of London serving the financial services sector. In 2013, Julian was one of the founding members of Zenium Data Centers which developed multiple facilities in London, Frankfurt and Istanbul. The business was sold in 2018 with the Turkish assets acquired by Equinix and the European assets acquired by Cyrus One where he remained until 2021. In his early career, Julian concentrated on real estate development of offices and also lead a serviced office business in Europe.
